An einem der traditionsreichsten Orte Hamburgs liegt das Saliba Alsterarkaden – direkt an der kleinen Alster, in einem Haus, das einst die „Vegetarische Gaststätte“ beherbergte und nach einem Brand mit viel Aufwand restauriert wurde. Der Geist dieser Institution hat überlebt: Das vielfältige Angebot an fleischlosen Speisen und Menüs begeistert nicht nur Vegetarier. Seine Lieblingsspeise(n) kann der Genießer auch mit nach Hause nehmen.
Mittags trifft man sich zum Business-Lunch im ersten Stock. Der Sommer wird draußen genossen – unter den weißen Arkaden oder auf dem Bootsanleger am Wasser begegnet sich ein internationales Publikum. Ein Glas Rosentee, ein Mokka mit Kardamom und ein Stückchen Kuchen schaffen nachmittägliche Erholung von turbulenten Shopping-Ausflügen.

Really good middle e...
Really good middle eastern food well prepared and with lovely flavors. I had the lamb tenderloin which was excellent with the accompanying rice and the toppings on it. My other half had the shrimp dish which came with a lovely red sauce and fresh vegetables . Waiter was super and had a sense of humor. The view of the water was a great setting to have dinner.

STAY AWAY if you don’t want to experience food poisoning!!! Food was not fresh, neither are their sweets. Typical tourist rip off. What does the health department do in Germany. This restaurant should be closed!!!

I spoke English and...
I spoke English and no rudeness. Their English is not great but their German was good which is what is more important. The food was great. It was just what I needed... Not the heavier fare that German or italian restaurant serves. The view is amazing and the indoor space is very cosy but the out door setting was perfect. Wished I was up for a glass of wine.

Amazing location poor service. I wanted only a prosecco while I was waiting for a photoshoot. The waiter was not interested in serving me only drinks, but he agreed. They guy brought a prosecco with pomegranate without even talking to me and asking me if I wanted it. I said ok, now that is here
Let mw drink it... it was good but he did not offer to change it and simply says it is the way they prepare it! Really?
I drank my prosecco and wanted to leave, asked 3 times for check... nothing.
Had to stand up and go to the register to pay for my drink! The only good thing ? They had wifi and can wrote this bad review! Rude

The worst service ev...
The worst service ever.
I asked a cappuccino with oat milk (it is 2023 and all the cafes have plant based milks in Hamburg, of course!) and the guy replied that in this place there are no such option, and start giving me a lecture on how oat milk it not healthy at all, that he knows better because he is a pharmacist. He used a very condescending and rude tone.
Not coming back for sure and not recommending.
The service says a lot about a place.
And it is definitely overpriced.

The food is absolute...
The food is absolutely delicious. The waiter is friendly and location is great. The price is worth it, considering the high quality of the food. I highly recommend this place and will definitely visit it again.
