The food was amazing...

The food was amazing. But the service was not equivalent to the setting. In such a great atmosphere of architecture the service, the loud wagons and sitting in the draught ruined the possibility of being an outstanding restaurant. A not used chance.

Totally disappointed...

Totally disappointed with this restaurant. Overpriced + small portion. Not serving authentic Chinese food + poor customer service. Waited more than 30 minutes for the bill. Avoid this restaurant if you wanna have authentic Cantonese/ Chinese food.

Authentic Chinese food! Love the duck!! Dim sum also insanely good! Moreover, such a beautiful garden to see! Deserve to visit!!

Definitely worth a v...

Definitely worth a visit for good Chinese in Hamburg. Service has been pleasing both times I visited. The setting is unique and wonderful though it lacks a certain ambience. Starters are a fried food lovers paradise (don’t miss the spring rolls and pork dumplings). Mains are hearty and very well priced. Though duck isn’t usually my first choice, it is rather good here. If dessert is a necessity, you will be disappointed by the almost complete lack of it (there is a Movenpick eis menu).

This is a really uni...

This is a really unique place, as the building was constructed as part of the Shanghai-Hamburg city partner program. The restaurant is therefore located in an authentic replica of an old Shanghai Garden. The restaurant itself provides good quality food and from what I can tell it‘s quite authentic. The Beijing duck is my personal favorite. Service is a bit of a hit and miss, and especially during more busy times it can sometimes be disappointing. Still, I frequent this restaurant and would recommend it.

The best part of the...

The best part of the restaurant is the Chinese garden. Once you enter the restaurant you feel the hectic vibe. Without the garden the ambience would have gotten one star. Even though the interieur is quite modern and chic. The food was only ok and close to be boring. Service was efficient but not in a good way. They brought the wrong check which was 30 Eur too high. And it took them 20 min to get the manager.

Excellent atmosphere...

Excellent atmosphere! The cuisine was also very tasty. I was first going to order some chicken with no sauce, but somehow the staff knew that I‘d prefer the dish with sauce, and gave proper recommendation, which I appreciated a lot. Great hospitality!

Without the doubt th...

Without the doubt the best Chinese restaurant in the City!! The food is just spectacular and sooo authentic… a wide range of drinks (alcohol, softs, hot, warm, local and from around the world, whatever you like). The whole place is absolutely beautiful and with a great history! There’s a nice and spacious patio outside and to put a cherry on the cake - this place is really affordable! Well recommend!!
